Although there is certainly a supply of commercial real estate available in South Central Connecticut, we are experiencing a shortage of buildings, for lease or for sale, for all uses, in the range from 3000-5000 square feet. We aren't quite sure why that particular size is so scarce, but it could have something to do with start-ups by people laid off during the recession, combining with downsizing of firms with bigger spaces. What we do know is that we get lots of calls looking for properties in that range.
What we can't so easily do is find parts of bigger buildings, where space is underutilized, and where pieces in that size range could perhaps be rented or sublet. So, if you have more space than you need, give us a call. We may have a user.
